My latest middle grade book Strays releases June 2, 2026. This book comes from a truly personal place, but that story will have its own space in a future blog. Today’s Wet Nose Wednesday post comes from far away, but it’s a great reminder of the universal nature of kindness. For many years is, when I’d hear about an act of hate or violence, I’d try to counter it with an act of kindness. It doesn’t matter how big or small the act is, only that it’s done with intention. I think that’s what the gentleman in this video is in service to. Weighted down by the hate he sees in the world, he’s made it his mission to create love and kindness for the most vulnerable among us. And in doing so, he’s brought love and kindness into the world and given a second chance at a beautiful forever to so many strays. As I say, animals bring so much hope, humor, love and compassion into our lives. As I continue with Wet Nose Wednesday, I want to share heartwarming and extraordinary tales (and sometimes tails) about the greatness and inspiration of animals and the people who honor them. Let's keep making the world better. For them and for us. And if you want to know more about Stanislav Fosnea's compassionate work, follow them at @stanastrayman.
